HDA and Alconbury Environmental Consultants were commissioned by English Nature to investigate the feasibility of restoring the floodplain of Cavenham and Icklingham Heaths, near Mildenhall in Suffolk. The close integration of ecological skills and landscape design expertise within HDA enabled the feasibility study to flow smoothly through an iterative design process and arrive at a cost effective and practical solution. The final report included a summary of existing ecological and hydrological information, an examination of opportunities and constraints and an outline design together with phasing and cost estimates.
