Hankinson Duckett Associates were appointed by Lafarge Aggregates to undertake a landscape and visual assessment of the proposed continuation of mineral extraction (gritstone) at a site within the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The assessment appraised the potential effects of the proposed development on the visual amenity, character of the local area and the landscape features of the site and also addressed potential impacts and their significance. HDA also prepared a restoration scheme seeking to create greater continuity and congruity of landforms and habitats across the site.
