An order for a critical bridleway diversion at Lafarge's Whitwell Quarry recently went to Inquiry following a number of objections from local residents concerned about the loss of a long used route.
HDA provided landscape evidence to the Inquiry for Lafarge which demonstrated that the existing length of bridleway has been subject to constant changes in character and visual amenity since the quarry opened, and that the new bridleway would provide a suitable alternative.
The inspector agreed with the case put forward by Lafarge and the order was granted.
