CLANWAY, STOKE-ON-TRENT
Clanway has had a long history of coal mining, iron stone and clay extraction, brick making and landfill. The site now forms an integral part of Stoke City's regeneration strategy. Part of HDA's brief has been to identify ecological interest and to carry out a public access and recreation assessment.
Using the site's constraints and opportunities HDA has created a network of open space linked by recreational routes and a robust landscape framework to facilitate the regeneration of the site and local area.
