HDA was instructed to carry out an assessment of the wider setting to the east of Milton Keynes to enable areas suitable for developments to be identified, with a view to include them as part of the local plan housing allocation. This assessment work included analysing the current local plans; the inherent character of existing development of the area and the sensitivity of the local landscape.
The Local Plan Inspector agreed with the HDA conclusions: the Council's Draft Local Plan housing allocation was deleted and replaced with the client's sites east of the city.
