SPECIAL PROTECTION AREA
(SPA)
HDA has undertaken assessments of the impact on the Thames Basin Heaths SPA of a number of proposed residential developments across the SPA area.
The assessments aim to assist the Local Planning Authority with their Appropriate Assessment, and include consideration of the size and location of the development relative to the SPA, availability of alternative recreational areas, and mitigation requirements based on the emerging guidelines.
